Competitions can be stressful for some but they can be fun and exciting too.

Gymnasts compete with their hair tied up, usually in a tight bun. They wear leotards that match their apparatus and toe shoes or toe socks on their feet.

The competition is divided into sections based on the gymnast's levels or category. Each individual gymnast does four different routines each and groups usually compete the same routine twice.

As the gymnast is announced onto the floor, they walk on and present to show their respect to the judges. They then have a certain amount of time to get into their beginning position before the music starts and they start their routine.
